Return Policy

The manufacturing facilities that we use have computer-driven, state-of-the-art equipment.  The final product is typically smooth and near-flawlessly cut.  (Although, we do feel it's always a good idea that you do a little light sanding on raw wood before applying a finish.)

However, since we don't live in a perfect world, it may be possible that something could happen.  For that reason, we have established a way for you to be completely satisfied with the products you will enjoy in your home for decades.  There are conditions to our return policy depending on the type of product purchased from us.  Therefore, we ask that you carefully read the policy as it relates to your purchase.

Samples

We do our best to display and illustrate each woodork design that is sold by the foot.  We want you to know exactly what you are purchasing prior to placing an order with us.  Sometimes, it just isn't possible to see how something will look in your home just by looking at a picture.  It's for that reason that we offer 6-inch Samples of most of our products.  That way, you can see it in your home and take a close look at the design.  These Samples will always be in a Paint-Grade material.  (We assume at this point you know what Oak, Cherry or other wood species looks like.)

There are no returns allowed for Samples.  Samples are a service we offer that is quite expensive for us, but we are glad to provide this option that most of our competitors do not.  Although this may surprise you, we found a small group of individuals out there that order sample after sample only to return them all for a refund.  It was a game for them.  It was a headache for us.  So rather than eliminate the Sample (which we believe is a real benefit), we have this policy:  There are no returns allowed for Samples ordered, but if an order is placed with us within 6 months or less from the time the first sample was ordered, the cost of every Sample ordered from us within that timeframe will be deducted from the cost of your purchase.

We know of no one in our industry that offers that, and we think that's the way to treat everyone fairly.

All Remaining Products

On all of the remaining products sold at our web store, we offer a 30-day return policy.  Each order will contain instructions on how to return the purchase if you are not pleased with it for some reason.  However, there are just a few restrictions that apply that we think are only fair:

• If the product has been altered in any way (including cut into smaller pieces, stained or painted) we will not honor the return
• We will not refund because extra quantities were ordered "just to be sure there was enough" and now the surplus is being returned.  We ask that you carefully measure and include a reasonable percentage more for mistakes and cut-offs.  Traditionally, most builders calculate a 10% increase over the actual need when ordering.
• We will not honor the return if more than 30 days has past since the order was shipped.

We pack all of our products in sturdy shipping containers.  And, naturally, if damage occurs in transit, we will replace those items to you at no charge.
